From desktop to doorstep, the Postal Service offers several online services that combine the speed of the Internet with the effectiveness of traditional mail. Online postage provides convenient alternatives for mailing at retail and offers lower prices.
Find a ZIP Code
There are four search types you can choose on our ZIP
Code Lookup tool. Select one of the following from the drop-down
menu:
- ZIP+4 Code—This search will require a Street
Address or PO Box, City and State.
- All ZIP Codes for City/Town—This search will
require a City and State.
- All Cities/Towns in a ZIP Code—This search is
conducted using only the ZIP Code and will provide names
of the cities/towns
corresponding to that
ZIP Code.
- ZIP+4 Code for a Company—This search requires
a Company Name, Address, City, and State
Calculate Postage
Whether you’re sending a letter, large envelope, or package, our online calculators give you a convenient tool to find what your postage will cost. You determine the shape of your item and in a couple of clicks—you’re ready to go. Mail domestically or internationally. It’s convenient right from your home or office.
Retail/Single-Piece Calculator
Easily calculates single-piece domestic and international postage and provides estimated delivery times.
Domestic:
• Select a Shape – the question marks offer explanations of the each shape.
• Enter Weight
• Enter ZIP Code
• Click “Continue”
Results will include available pricing options, giving you a chance to compare the value of purchasing your postage online or taking your item to the Post Office. When you have to have it delivered in a certain time-frame, estimated delivery times are shown for each class of mail. Express Mail is a guaranteed 1- to 2-day service. Add any extra services such a Delivery Confirmation or insurance and click “Continue.” That’s it!
International:
• Choose one of over 190 countries in the drop-down box under “Select a Destination.”
• Select a Shape
• Enter Weight
• Click “Continue”
Results will be similar to domestic results in that you can view the difference in prices between printing an online postage label and taking your item to the retail counter at your Post Office.
Choose the class of mail that best suits your needs, add any extra services and click “Continue.”
A Customs form may be required for your international mailing. These are available, without charge, at your local Post Office or by ordering supplies from the Postal Store at http://shop.usps.com and then entering “customs” into the search tool. Additional information about international mailings and customs forms can be found in the International Mail Manual (IMM®) located on Postal Explorer at http://pe.usps.com.
Business Calculator
Do you need to find a convenient way to determine the best value for your large mailing? Calculate prices for all commercial mail including First-Class Mail, Standard Mail, Periodicals, and Package Services.

Schedule a Pickup
Whether it's Carrier Pickup™ or time-specific Pickup On Demand®, USPS pickup options make shipping your packages quick and convenient.
Carrier Pickup is the easy, convenient way to send packages. Just submit your request online and have your Priority Mail, Express Mail or international packages, with postage affixed, ready before your carrier arrives. It’s that simple!
Pickup On Demand allows you to schedule time-specific pickups within a 2-hour time frame. A letter carrier will make a special trip to your home for a fee of $14.75, to pick up Priority Mail, Express Mail, or Parcel Post packages that have postage affixed. There is no additional charge for picking up multiple pieces of mail. Visit www.usps.com pickup or call 1-800-222-1811 for additional information or to schedule a pickup.
Locate a Post Office
The locate a Post Office tool enables you to find Post Offices
or alternate Post Office locations such as Contract Post
Offices (CPU) and other retail facilities that only sell
postage stamps.
Track and Confirm
Tracking services provide detailed information. You will see
the item scanned at acceptance, as it travels, and when it
is delivered. Tracking information is available for Express
Mail® mailpieces only (including Global Express Guaranteed and Express Mail International).
Services that confirm delivery are designed to be a low cost
alternative to full tracking. Instead of seeing the acceptance
information and updated scans as the item is enroute, confirmation
services provide assurance of delivery or
of attempted delivery. This service
is available with the purchase of
the following:
- Delivery Confirmation™ service.
- Signature Confirmation® service.
- Certified Mail™ service.
- Registered Mail™ service.
- International Registered Mail™ service.
