December DMM Update

We update the DMM on Postal Explorer (pe.usps.com) concurrent with the first Postal Bulletin of every month, so Postal Explorer is always your current source for mailing standards. The December DMM is available today and includes the following changes:

Labeling Lists
We revised labeling lists L001, L002, L003, L005, L007, L008, L201, L606, and L801 to reflect changes in mail processing operations.

Check the Summary of Changes for a complete listing of updates since the last printing. You will find revisions listed by effective date and also by chapter, with clickable links to revised sections. Our next scheduled update is January 8, 2006. This update will include all of the new rates and fees effective on that day.

International Mail Insurance

Beginning January 8, 2006, we are providing indemnity coverage for all ordinary, uninsured international airmail and economy mail parcel post. This new coverage is included at no additional charge and protects mailers against loss, damage, and rifling. See yesterdays Postal Bulletin for more information about this and other important changes to international mail.
