Katrina- and Rita-Related Service Updates

The Postal Service has begun to take precautions in areas along the Gulf Coast that are likely targets of Hurricane Rita.

Texas

We have suspended retail and delivery and drop shipments in Texas 3-digit Zip Codes 770, 773, 774,775, 779, 783, 784, and 785 until further notice. 

Louisiana

We suspended retail and delivery and drop shipments for some locations in Louisiana ZIP Code ranges of 705 and 706.
