August DMM Available Online

We update the DMM on Postal Explorer (pe.usps.com) every month, so it’s always your current source for domestic mailing standards. The online DMM is fully searchable, and it’s easy to print a section or chapter if you need to.

Check the Summary of Changes for a complete listing of DMM updates since the January printing. You will find revisions listed by effective date and also by chapter, with clickable links to revised sections.

We made the following changes to our mailing standards in August.

Premium Forwarding Service Experiment
We added 709.8.0 to provide the rates and fees, eligibility criteria, and mailing standards for our new Premium Forwarding Service experiment. This new service ships mail to residential customers who are away from their primary address for at least 2 weeks and up to 1 year.

Labeling Lists
We revised labeling lists L001, L002, L004, L005, L007, L008, L009, L011, L606, and L801 to reflect changes in mail processing operations.
