July 20 - BMA Days

July 20, 2005

The Business Mail Acceptance function of the Postal Service (USPS) has scheduled the second annual Business Mail Acceptance (BMA) Days Program.  The weeklong program runs from July 25th to July 29th, and this year’s theme is “Improving Results” for both USPS and customers. BMA Days will bring visibility to the pivotal business mail acceptance function. Postal Executives will visit with customers and gather feedback, high performing Business Mail Entry units will be celebrated, and we will bring visibility to the new technologies that are being introduced to streamline the business mail acceptance function.
A special BMA edition of the Business Seminar Series, a Customer and Industry Marketing program, is currently being produced as part of BMA days.  The seminars will focus on topics of particular interest to business mailers, including Addressing and Your Bottom Line, Periodicals, Nonprofit mailings, DMM 300, the PostalOne! System, The Perfect Bundle, and Postage Payment Methods.

There are eleven presentations included in the Business Seminar Series they are:

  • Content Requirements Nonprofit Standard Mail
  • First-Class Mail and Standard Mail Eligibility
  • Introduction to Manifest Mailing
  • Mailpiece Quality
  • Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual
  • Periodicals Eligibility
