Electronic Verification System for Parcel Mailings  

We published a final rule in today’s Federal Register to implement the electronic data and automated processes of the Electronic Verification System (eVS) for Parcel Select manifest mailings. This change will also affect Standard Mail machinable parcels and other Package Services parcels when commingled with Parcel Select mailings.

The new eVS standards are effective August 1, 2007, providing mailers and shippers sufficient time to be ready.
