June 23, 2005 The June 10, 2005, Federal Register announced the final rule and mailing standards for Premium Forwarding Service (PFS) that is effective on August 7, 2005. This is a two-year experiment designed for reshipping a customer’s mail from their primary address to a temporary address for a minimum of two-weeks and up to a maximum of one-year when they are temporarily away.
