February 1, 2008 Announcement of final rule notices published in today's Federal Register of the new Priority Mail large flat-rate box shipping option. The large flat-rate box can be used for both domestic and international shipping. A special version of the box for the military features the logo, "America Supports You." An additional published notice cited the Express Mail Sunday/Holiday Delivery Premium. The new prices and products are effective March 3, 2008.

January 28, 2008 Announcement of Premium Forwarding Service becoming a Postal Service permanent option. First launched as an experiment in August 2005, high customer interest and success of the service were the reasons for moving to permanent status.

January 17, 2008 Announcement of two new shipping initiatives: a larger Priority Mail flat-rate box, with a special discount for overseas military addresses; and a new Sunday and holiday delivery price for Express Mail. Both initiatives are effective March 3, 2008.
