January 18 Pricing Change – DMM and IMM Updates

In yesterday’s Postal Bulletin we published domestic and international mailing standards changes to support the new domestic and international shipping services prices effective January 18, 2009. We encourage you to review this information and visit usps.com/prices, where you can find all of the January 18 prices, as you prepare for the pricing change.

Letter-Size Booklets and Folded Self-Mailers

An advance copy of the Federal Register notice proposing new mailing standards for letter-size booklets and folded self-mailers is available on Postal Explorer at pe.usps.com. The new standards describe the characteristics required for automation and machinable letter prices, including tab size, tab location, paper basis weights, and mailpiece dimensions.
