November DMM Update

Postal Explorer^® (pe.usps.com) is your source for up-to-date mailing standards. The Domestic Mail Manual (DMM^®) is fully searchable on Postal Explorer and features fly-out menus, cross-reference links, and an extensive subject index. On Monday we updated our mailing standards to include the following changes:

Miscellaneous Hazardous Materials (Hazard Class 9)

We revised 601.10.20.5 and 601.10.20.6. We published this information in the October 31, 2012, Postal Bulletin.

Foreign Trade Regulations, Electronic Filing for Domestic Mailpieces — Clarification

We revised 608.2.5 to better clarify the domestic mailing destinations (as defined under DMM 608.2.0) that are exempted from the U.S. Census Bureau regulations that require electronic filing of export information through the U.S. Census Bureau's Automated Export System. We published this information in the October 18, 2012, Postal Bulletin.
