Express Mail Domestic Postage Refund Policy and Waiver of

Signature

The Federal Register has published our proposed rule modifying the time for filing claims for domestic Express Mail® refunds from 90 days to 30 days after the date of mailing and changing the Express Mail “waiver of signature'' standard for domestic items so that an addressee's signature will be obtained only when the mailer selects the “signature required'' option on the Express Mail label.

Customers are encouraged to comment on or before November 7, 2011.

The proposed rule Federal Register can be found on the Postal Explorer® website at pe.usps.com.
