Address Correction Notices
for Letters and Flats Qualifying for Full-Service Intelligent Mail and
Changes to Move Update Standards
Today
the
Federal Register
published our proposed rule
to change the timeframe for providing address correction without charge for
First-Class Mail®, Standard Mail®, and Bound Printed Matter (BPM) pieces
that are eligible for Full-Service Intelligent Mail® prices. Our
proposal states that address correction notices would be provided for the
classes of mail noted above, without charge, for no longer than 95 days
after the first notice is made available. This is in alignment with the
current Move Update timeframe.
Customers are encouraged to respond on or before October 21, 2010.
The proposed rule can be viewed on the Postal Explorer®
website at

Register Notices” in the left frame. |
