Letter-Size Booklets and Folded Self-Mailers

We are developing new mailing standards for folded self-mailers, booklets, and folded booklets mailed at automation and machinable letter rates. Our new standards will more accurately characterize which types of booklets and folded self-mailers process on our primary letter-sorting equipment.

We posted an Advance Notice of our proposal on Postal Explorer (pe.usps.com) to provide early information about the changes. We encourage mailers to send their comments and suggestions. Once testing is completed, we will publish a proposal for comment on the revised mailing standards. The revised standards will not change the preparation criteria for enveloped pieces.
